Today marks a pivotal day in the history of @campfirwood! What once felt like a dream is now becoming reality — a significant portion of the road to camp is officially paved!

Because of the incredible generosity of five donors, we were able to fund 1/3 of the road project. We are beyond grateful for the many hands, hearts, and prayers that have helped make this dream come true. What a blessing it is to watch God provide through such an amazing community!

Kauai—and the people we’ve had the privilege of meeting here—have continued to both inspire and deepen our faith.

Over the past two days, serving alongside @hawaiifoodbankkauai has been an unforgettable experience. The people who faithfully serve this community through the food bank carry a love for others that is truly contagious.

Today, 294 individuals received fresh food, and it felt like a glimpse of Jesus feeding the 5,000. His glory was on full display as our team and the food bank staff came together to share the love of Christ in a tangible, meaningful, and hope-filled way.

Moments like these remind us that even the simplest acts of service can become powerful reflections of God’s compassion and provision.

We invite you to join us in praying for the food bank team. Their work is constant, the needs are great, and their impact reaches far beyond what most people see. Pray that God would strengthen and encourage them, and that His love and presence would be evident in and through everything they do.

The gift of Sunday will never cease to stop us in our tracks. At The Firs, everything we do rests on Sunday’s promise—He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. (Matthew 28:6)

If you’re in the “He has Risen indeed” camp, we’re so grateful to be rejoicing with you today. May the beauty of this season feel powerful and renewing.

If you’re in the “Did He really rise from the dead” camp—welcome. We’d love to get to know you and share why we believe that Jesus’ death and resurrection can set you free and change your life forever.

Jesus came to seek and save each one of us—regardless of where we’ve been or what we’ve done. And regardless of what we might do or think in the future. Regardless of if we deserve His love, He loves us anyways. John 3:16 reminds us that God sent His son that whoever BELIEVES in Him will have the eternal promise of life with Christ forever. Life with purpose, life with meaning, life with the promise of God’s everlasting grace.

And the beautiful thing is YOU can choose this life today! Right where you’re at, with no one around or at the busiest family gathering, you can ask Jesus to be on the throne of your heart, to forgive you for your fleshly, sinful desires, and to replace those desires with ones that glorify Him.

We hope you find peace and rest in the promise of the empty tomb today—and always.

Jesus loves you! ✝️

This awesome crew of @thefirsretreat discipleship students and staff helped pack food bags at @openhandswhatcom last week.
