Program Pillars
Radicle + Rooted invites young adults ages 18-26 to live in Christian community while growing in their faith both personally and alongside others. The program is designed to help participants develop healthy spiritual rhythms that support a lifelong pursuit of Jesus.
Through intentional discipleship, mentorship, and shared practices such as prayer, Scripture, and worship, participants build a strong foundation for lasting spiritual growth.
Life in Radicle + Rooted is centered around four core commitments that shape the rhythm of the program:
-
EDIFY THE BODY OF CHRIST • Active participation in a local church
-
LIFE GROUPS • Weekly campus Life Groups
-
WORSHIP + OUTREACH • Monday night young adult worship gathering
-
SERVICE • Serving in the local community
There will also be optional discipleship and adventure opportunities:
-
DISCIPLESHIP • Growing in faith and biblical understanding
-
ADVENTURE • Explore the outdoors together
Together, these practices cultivate spiritual formation, meaningful relationships, and a life rooted in Christ.
Living at The Firs
Participants live on the campus of The Firs Retreat Center in Bellingham, Washington—a vibrant Pacific Northwest city known for its outdoor recreation, creative culture, and welcoming community. Nestled among forested trails and just minutes from downtown, the campus provides a peaceful environment for spiritual growth, study, and community life.
The campus features a student lounge, game room, dedicated study spaces, and a sports court for pickleball, volleyball, and basketball. These areas create space for both relaxation and connection—whether you’re studying, playing games, watching movies, or simply spending time together.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in activities across several unique spaces including The Firs’ private waterfront on Lake Whatcom, Camp Firwood, and The Firs Chalet. These locations provide opportunities for waterfront gatherings, retreats, outdoor recreation, and time to slow down and connect with one another.
Beyond campus, Bellingham offers endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. Participants can explore miles of trails at Galbraith Mountain, paddle or swim in Lake Whatcom, grab coffee downtown, visit local farmers markets, or take day trips to the San Juan Islands, Mount Baker, or Vancouver, BC.
Living at The Firs means experiencing a unique blend of community, spiritual formation, and Pacific Northwest adventure.
